How to make time for mindfulness every day
What is mindfulness?
Put simply, mindfulness is the practice of being in the present moment, as opposed to our thoughts turning to the past or future. It's been around for centuries, but in recent years it's seen a rapid surge in popularity due to increased levels of stress and anxiety across society.
Being so busy every day means we often don't have time to ground ourselves in the now. Instead, we're sucked into the swirl of tasks, commitments, responsibilities and struggles that modern life throws at us. Mindfulness is a great way to balance reality with our internal thoughts and feelings to bring a state of greater calmness, awareness, acceptance and joy.
Mundane to mindful: nine opportunities
Mindfulness expert Patrick Groneman has teamed up with Flymo to help everyone find golden moments of time in which we can practice being mindful, no matter how mundane our tasks are or how busy our schedule is. There's no equipment involved – just bring a clear intention, focus and practice as often as possible.
